I am a professor in History Department at Renmin University of China. My research field is ancient Greek history and I am currently focusing on ethnic identity among the ancient Greeks.I think that western civilization is a valuable comparative “Other” for the Chinese. Western civilization has a different pattern of development. As modern Chinese, we should know the outside world under the age of globalization. I would like the DCO project to provide convenient approaches for Chinese students who study classics, such as basic glossary and philological commentary.
