I am Associate Professor at Institute for the History of Ancient Civilizations at Northeast Normal University. My research mainly focuses on Greek religion and Greek mythology. For me western classics are interesting because I think we can find there some hints, ideas, and solutions to problems that China has to cope with right now. I would like the DCO project to produce a broad cultural context with useful information for people in China who have real interests in western civilization, and attract more scholars, students, and ordinary people to the subject. I am glad to be involved in this project. Nowadays, more and more western classicists are ready to help us make a better understanding of the western classical tradition, and I feel that the DCO project could be a perfect platform for those of us interested in this area in China.
